The Vaughn-Jordan Foundation is proud to have provided initial grants of over $75,000 to support groundbreaking genome sequencing research on the Great Basin Bristlecone Pine. This important work, led by Dr. David Neale and his team, is featured in the June 2026 issue of the prestigious journal G3: Genes, Genomes and Genetics, which placed an image of the ancient bristlecone pine grove in California’s White Mountains on its cover.
